Northern Lights Language Academy was created to offer Korean children a gentle, high-quality path to English that feels personal, encouraging, and effective. Our academy is built on Canadian educational values — small groups, warm instruction, and a strong focus on real communication skills.

Founded by Eva Petruzziello, an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience with three years teaching ESL in Nagoya, Japan, Northern Lights brings authentic Canadian English education to families in Korea.

Our academy specializes in working with Korean learners. We understand the strengths Korean students bring to English learning — strong vocabulary, good study habits, and dedication — as well as the areas where they benefit most from support: speaking confidently, understanding natural English, and applying grammar in real-life conversation.

At Northern Lights, our classes are intentionally small so every child is seen and heard. We focus on clear speaking, strong reading and writing skills, and building the confidence to use English naturally — not just on tests. Parents receive regular feedback and can always reach out with questions or concerns.
